1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using Hired. at hiredapp.io ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Hired. ("we", "us", "our").

2. Description of service

Hired. is an AI-powered career tool that provides:

• CV building and optimisation
• ATS (Applicant Tracking System) scoring
• Cover letter generation
• LinkedIn profile optimisation
• Job search and matching
• Job application tracking
• Interview preparation

AI features are powered by third-party AI models. Outputs are suggestions only and should be reviewed before use.

3. Account registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service
• One person may not maintain more than one free account
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

4. Subscription plans and payment

Free tier

The free tier provides limited access to features as described on our pricing page. We reserve the right to modify free tier limits at any time with 30 days notice.

Pro subscription (€5.99/month)

• Billed monthly in advance via Stripe
• Automatically renews each month unless cancelled
• Cancel at any time — access continues until end of billing period
• No refunds for partial months, except where required by EU law

EU consumer right of withdrawal

EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase. To exercise this right, contact us at billing@hiredapp.io within 14 days of your first payment. Note: if you have actively used the Service during this period, a proportional charge may apply.

5. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service to create false or misleading CV content intended to deceive employers
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape or extract data from the Service
• Share account credentials with others
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or access controls
• Upload malicious files or content
• Use automated tools to access the Service without our written permission

6. AI-generated content

• AI outputs are suggestions and starting points — not professional career advice
• You are responsible for reviewing and editing all AI-generated content before use
• We do not guarantee that AI-generated CVs or cover letters will result in job interviews or offers
• ATS scores are estimates based on keyword analysis — not guaranteed assessments of real ATS systems

7. Intellectual property

• You retain full ownership of any CV content, career history and personal data you upload
• You grant us a limited licence to process your content solely to provide the Service
• The Hired. brand, logo, design and software are our intellectual property
• AI-generated content created using your inputs is owned by you

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We do not guarantee employment outcomes from using the Service
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages
• Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim
• Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud

These limitations do not affect your statutory rights as an EU consumer.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Spain. EU consumers may also benefit from mandatory consumer protection laws in their country of residence.

11. Changes to terms

We will notify you by email at least 30 days before making material changes to these terms. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences and understand how you use them.

Essential cookies are required for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled. They do not track you for marketing purposes.

4. Analytics cookies

Analytics cookies are optional. They help us understand which features are popular and where users encounter difficulties. We use this data only to improve the Service — never for advertising.

You can opt out of analytics cookies at any time by visiting your account settings or clicking "Manage cookies" in the footer.

5. Third-party cookies

Stripe (our payment processor) may set cookies when you complete a payment. These are governed by Stripe's cookie policy.

6. Managing cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from staying logged in.

Your GDPR Rights

1. Right to access (Article 15)

You can request a complete copy of all personal data we hold about you, including your account details, CV data, usage history and any other information.

How to request: Email privacy@hiredapp.io with the subject "Data Access Request". We will respond within 30 days with a full data export.

2. Right to rectification (Article 16)

If any data we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to have it corrected.

How to request: Most data can be updated directly in your account settings. For other corrections, email privacy@hiredapp.io.

3. Right to erasure — "Right to be forgotten" (Article 17)

You have the right to request deletion of all your personal data. We will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.

Note: We are required to retain financial transaction records for 7 years under EU tax law. All other data will be permanently deleted.

How to request: Delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete Account, or email privacy@hiredapp.io.

4. Right to data portability (Article 20)

You can request your data in a structured, machine-readable format (JSON or CSV) so you can transfer it to another service.

How to request: Email privacy@hiredapp.io with the subject "Data Portability Request".

5. Right to restrict processing (Article 18)

You can ask us to limit how we use your data — for example, if you contest its accuracy or object to our processing.

How to request: Email privacy@hiredapp.io explaining what processing you want restricted.

6. Right to object (Article 21)

You can object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including any profiling. You can also unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.

7. Rights related to automated decision-making (Article 22)

Our AI features (ATS scoring, CV analysis) involve automated processing of your data. These are tools to assist you — no automated decisions are made that have legal or significant effects on you without human review.

8. How to make a request

For any GDPR request:

• Subject line: state the right you wish to exercise (e.g. "Data Erasure Request")
• We will verify your identity before processing the request
• We will respond within 30 days (extendable to 90 days for complex requests)
• This service is free of charge

9. Right to lodge a complaint

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority:
